Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the FinancialFX mobile application, package name com.financialfx.app, the FinancialFX.exchange website, FX quote tickets, live rate boards, deal ticket forms and related customer support.

Data we may collect

We may collect information you choose to provide, including your name, phone number, email address, exchange direction, amount, currency pair, settlement preference and messages submitted through an order or contact form.

We may process technical data needed to operate the service, including IP address, device or browser type, app version, approximate time of access, pages or screens used, rate refresh requests, error logs and security events.

The app does not request access to contacts, photos, camera, microphone, precise location or SMS. The app does not ask for payment card numbers or passwords.

How we use data

Data is used to calculate exchange estimates, prepare exchange deal tickets, contact customers, confirm order details, provide support, maintain records, protect the service, prevent misuse and comply with legal, regulatory, accounting and compliance obligations.

Live exchange rates

The app and website may request live FX quote rates from a third-party FX rate provider. That provider may receive technical request data such as IP address and requested currency pair. Final transaction rates are confirmed by the desk before settlement.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data may be shared only where needed with service providers, technology providers, professional advisers, banks, payment or settlement partners, regulators, law enforcement or other parties where required by law or necessary to provide the requested exchange service.

Legal basis

Where applicable, we process data to take steps at your request before entering into a transaction, to perform a service, to comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate interests such as service security, customer support, fraud prevention and record keeping.

Retention

Records are kept only for as long as needed for operational, legal, compliance, accounting, audit and dispute-resolution purposes. Test or incomplete deal tickets may be removed earlier where they are no longer needed.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data. No internet or mobile app service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so users should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive information.

Children

FinancialFX is not directed to children and is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your rights
